Milestone Moments: Inaugurations and Foundations Worth Rs 1,100 Crore

On a groundbreaking day of 29.11.2023 at his Camp Office in Tadepalli, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually laid the foundation stone for four industries and inaugurated five others, collectively valued at an impressive Rs.1,100 crore. These monumental projects are set to create a staggering 21,744 job opportunities, reflecting the state’s commitment to economic progress. As of November 2023, the state boasts 6.58 lakh registered MSME units, a testament to the effective strategies employed to fortify this vital economic backbone.

Diverse Ventures

The inauguration spree included a state-of-the-art edible oil refinery by Gokul Agro Resources Private Limited in Nellore district, showcasing a capacity of 4.2 lakh metric tonnes. Additionally, the launch of an innovative sesame seeds processing unit in Vizianagaram district, facilitated by the Andhra Pradesh Food Processing Society, promises to be a boon for employment, with the unit operated by the L Kota Jai Kisan Farmers’ Producers Organisation.

Strategic Investments and Job Creation Initiatives

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s vision extends beyond mere inaugurations; it encompasses strategic investments and initiatives aimed at job creation. Notable among them are the printing cluster’s common facility centres in Kakinada industrial estate, a starch processing unit by Sri Venkateswara Bio Tech Pvt Ltd in Eluru district, and the initiation of a unit by Blue Fin Enterprises in Vizianagaram district focusing on potato, millets, and wheat-based products.

Pharma Hub and Nutraceutical Ventures: A Vision for Tomorrow

The visionary leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is evident in the laid foundation for a Rs 280-crore pharma unit of Sigachi Industries at the Orvakal mega industrial hub in Kurnool district. This, coupled with the launch of a nutraceuticals unit by RPS Industries with an investment of Rs 90 crore, reflects the state’s commitment to diversifying its industrial landscape.

Over the past four-and-a-half years, Andhra Pradesh has witnessed the establishment of 130 large and mega industries, attracting a cumulative investment of Rs 69,000 crore and providing employment for 86,000 individuals. This remarkable feat highlights the success of the YSRC government’s strategic planning and periodic reviews, creating a solid foundation for the state’s economic prosperity.
