As the polling date is nearing for the Assembly Elections 2023, Telangana is becoming a hotbed of accusations and counter-accusations, with attacks on Party leaders gaining sensation now with TPCC President Revanth Reddy making key allegations that political strategist Prashant Kishor was behind these attacks.

There have been successive attacks on the leaders of the ruling party BRS. Last month, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, BRS MP from Medak and the ruling party’s candidate from the Dubbak Assembly constituency was stabbed with a knife by a 37-year-old Dalit, YouTube scribe Gaddam Raju.

Last Saturday this month, BRS MLA from Achampet  Guvvala Balaraju was injured during clashes involving the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Congress in Achampet town of Nagarkurnool district.

Taking note of the incident, KTR said, “Unfortunately, in Telangana, this time, we have seen a couple of incidents of violence. One was with respect to our MP Prabhakar Reddy, who is contesting as the Dubbak assembly constituency candidate, and another was with Guvvala Balaraju. These are truly unfortunate incidents. Violence has no place in democracy, and I hope and pray that everybody exercises restraint and whoever has perpetrated this is brought to justice as soon as possible.”

Revanth alleges Prashant Kishor is behind these attacks:

TPCC president Revanth Reddy made sensational allegations that PK alias Prashant Kishor was behind this sudden series of attacks on the BRS candidates. He termed this as a deliberate move attributed to poll strategist Prashant Kishor in an effort to evoke sympathy for the ruling party candidates, upon realizing that the party was losing the Telangana Assembly Elections 2023.

“Prashant Kishor is known to plan such incidents to generate sympathy. Irrespective of the political party he has worked with, the attacks are part of a common strategy. We have seen this in West Bengal also,” Revanth said at a press conference.

Mr. Reddy inquired about the reasons behind the police not disclosing the remand report of the accused Raju in the Kotha Prabhakar Reddy case. “Right after the attack, even Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao blamed the Congress in public meetings, trying to link the Congress party to the attack. The entire BRS leadership took the same line. However, the Siddipet Police Commissioner informed the media that the accused wanted to create a sensation with the attack,” he said

It is important to note here that, Prashant Kishor did campaign for BRS candidate in the Munugode by-election last year but for the Telangana Assembly elections they have parted ways officially and Prashant Kishor is not involved in Telangana Assembly elections presently.
