Tea seller from Rajahmundry has a suggestion for TDP

Satire - Plan to escape lost in letters

Lately, the winds have not been in favour of TDP but Chandrababu Naidu is not one to accept defeat easily. Chandrababu Naidu who has never been taken to court before is now doing jail time in Rajahmundry central jail for his involvement in a multi-crore scam. He is being presented in court and being questioned by CID officials on a regular basis. His party’s relentless protests on the weekends are attracting even more attention towards their scattered and leaderless plight. The strategy proposed by Showtime Consultancy’s Rabin Sharmaa, a former associate of Prashant Kishore, has clearly instructed the party to do protests on the weekends so their political drama can at least compete with the movie release buzz.

TDP’s state general secretary Nara Lokesh is holding the fort in Delhi and is keeping himself busy organising town hall meetings with senior lawyers. The offer is very simple. Whoever gets the bail papers, will get the big cash prize. Cases of Skill Development scam and Inner Ring Road scam are making headlines as hot topics in the news.
As if all this was not enough, one of his old scam cases from 2015 has resurfaced and is scheduled to be heard in the Supreme Court on 3rd October. The case is related to Telangana’s “Cash-For-Vote” scam. The cash-for-vote scam had created tremors in Telangana politics when TDP MLA (now Congress TS Chief) Revanth Reddy and two others were arrested by the ACB for allegedly offering a bribe of Rs. 50 lakhs to TRS (Now BRS) nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to cross-vote and support TDP nominee Vem Narendar Reddy in Legislative Council elections. Post these arrests, the ACB had issued a recording of an infamous telephonic call recording between Chandrababu Naidu and Stephenson. In the context of this call, “Briefed Me” became a viral meme.

Chandrababu Naidu’s lawyers are confident that the cash-for-vote case won’t be much trouble as the Telangana Government seems to have lost interest in pursuing it. But a tea seller in Rajahmundry thinks otherwise. Subayya, who runs his tea shop near the Rajahmundry jail has been listening to all the chatter about Naidu’s cases from the TDP party activists who visit his shop every day. He has more information on the cases than the social media influencers and now is himself now an expert in all the charges against the TDP Supremo.

He is sure that Naidu can make it out of the central prison soon if he takes his advice seriously. Subayya may not be as educated as Naidu’s high profile lawyers but he definitely knows better than the social media influencers debating online. He hesitates to disclose his advice for Naidu too much as he worries his idea might get stolen and the credit will be taken by some lawyer or party activist. To make sure that his advice reaches Naidu directly, he has sent letters to him with his detailed proposed plan.

However, his letter seems to have been lost in the pile of letters Chandrababu Naidu is receiving from his fan clubs. Subbaya is waiting to see if Naidu takes his advice or not.
