KCR Bharosa

The BRS is gearing up for an extensive campaign called ‘KCR Bharosa’ to promote its vision and initiatives for the state of Telangana during the third term of its party president, K. Chandrashekar Rao, who will serve as the Chief Minister.

The party’s working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao said on Wednesday that the campaign will be all about what the KCR government has done for the people and achieved for the state so far, and what the future plans are.

K.T. Rama Rao said the campaign aims to communicate the party’s vision closer to the people, with the party activists explaining about the BRS election manifesto, comprising 16 major promises to be implemented upon getting re-elected for a third term in Telangana.  Rama Rao said each of the party’s promises in the manifesto will be informed to the people.

The BRS working president was addressing Congress leaders and workers from the Peddapalli district who joined the ruling party on Wednesday at the Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Those who joined the BRS on Wednesday included Congress party leaders C. Satyanarayana Reddy, Vemula Rammurthy, Mahbubnagar district Congress Party leader Mutyala Prakash, and several other Congress leaders and workers from Peddapalli. “If you go to villages and ask about our party, people will say ‘Telangana party’ not TRS or BRS. That is the connection people have with our party. The other parties do not have such an emotional connection with the people,” he said.

Rama Rao recalled the hurdles encountered by the BRS post the formation of the State, notably the power and water shortages. He emphasized that the Chandrashekhar Rao administration has been tackling these crucial concerns step-by-step. Rama Rao pointed out that the implementation of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme has brought about a drastic change in Telangana’s landscape with noteworthy agricultural advancement across numerous districts. He highlighted that, under Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao’s guidance, Telangana has made substantial progress across all sectors.

He urged the public not to be swayed by the Congress’ promises, taking a dig at Congress he said, people should be wary of the Congress which has failed to keep any of its promises in Karnataka. “The government there is barely able to supply five hours of power and here we have the Telangana Congress president who says three hours of power supply is enough for farmers. Farmers in Telangana should give thought to whether they want three hours of power or 24 hours of power as of now. If power is placed in the hands of the inept and useless Congress, all that we have achieved so far will be lost,” he said.

Rama Rao stated that upon returning to power, the BRS would release a job calendar and fill all the vacant positions in the State government at regular intervals. Further, the second phase of sheep distribution for the Golla and Kuruma communities will also be completed.

He said as part of the BRS manifesto drafted by the Chief Minister, the BRS was committed to increasing Rythu Bandhu financial assistance to farmers up to Rs 16,000 per acre per annum. The party would also enhance Aasara pensions to Rs.5,000 for the beneficiaries, apart from increasing pensions to the differently abled up to Rs 6,000.

“The BRS government will supply fine rice to all the ration card holders under its new scheme ‘Annapurna’ and also provide LPG cylinders to our women for a subsidized price of Rs 400,” he said.
