In a groundbreaking initiative, the state of Andhra Pradesh is set to host a colossal sports event, “Aadudam Andhra” (Let’s Play Andhra), from December 15, 2023, to February 3, 2024. This 50-day performance marks the inauguration of a series of sports competitions that cascade from the grassroots level to the state level, showcasing the diverse talent within Andhra Pradesh. The eligibility criterion is straightforward—any resident of Andhra Pradesh above 15 years old can participate, fostering inclusivity and community engagement.
What sets “Aadudam Andhra” apart is its meticulous structure, featuring competitions at offices across Village/Ward Secretariats, Mandals, Constituencies, Districts, and the overall state. The Chief Minister released the theme song for the Sports event, that sounds very youthful and catchy.
The event kicks off with an impressive 2.99 lakh matches across 15,004 village/ward secretariats, engaging a staggering 34.20 lakh participants. The winners then ascend to the Mandal level, where 1.42 lakh matches will unfold in 680 mandals. This rigorous filtration process continues through constituency and district competitions, ultimately culminating in 250 matches at the state level.
