Is Telugu Desam Party supporting the Congress behind the scenes in Telangana?

TDP COngress

BJP MLA Etela Rajender alleged that the TDP chief, Chandrababu Naidu, is making efforts to boost the Congress party in Telangana during the assembly elections. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is helping the Congress party in the backdoor to help them in winning the elections. These comments were made by Etela Rajender, following Chandrababu Naidu’s release from jail and the TDP’s declaration of not contesting in the Telangana elections. Similarly, former Telangana TDP President Kasani Gnaneshwar also made similar comments during a recent press conference where he resigned from the party. Now, the question remains whether the TDP is supporting the Congress party behind the scenes in the upcoming Telangana elections.

Khammam Assembly Congress candidate Thummala went to at TDP Party office in Khammam last evening and praised Telugu Desam Party and Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu interfering in TS politics : Etela Rajender

Etela Rajender accused Chandrababu Naidu of interfering in Telangana politics in order to support the Congress party. He went on to say that Naidu collaborated with the Congress in 2018 and is now working for them behind the scenes. He added that people on the ground have lost trust and confidence in the Congress party. Rajender equated the BRS party with the Congress party, stating that voting for one is essentially the same as voting for the other. He emphasized that only the BJP can bring about complete development in Telangana, and expressed confidence that farmers, women, youth, and all sections of the population are supportive of the BJP.

Kasani reveals Kamma group interested in supporting the Congress

Kasani Gnaneshwar has resigned from his position as Telangana TDP president after party leader Naidu decided not to contest in the Telangana assembly elections.Kasani revealed that the Kamma community argued in favor of supporting the Congress party, which he finds strange and nonsensical supporting other parties other than the one contesting in the elections. He mentioned that they were expecting to win around 20-25 seats, but the entire party cadre in Telangana was disappointed by Naidu’s decision. He does not have an answer for party aspirants who wanted to contest and are only seeking a B-form from the party without asking for money. Kasani blamed Nara Lokesh for not caring about the party in Telangana, especially during the absence of CBN as he was in jail. Additionally, Kasani stated that Lokesh has mentioned to his close aides that he is only focused on Andhra Pradesh and has nothing to do with Telangana state.

What’s in there for TDP?

While Naidu was in judicial custody at Rajahmundry central jail, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, who is a close aide of Chandrababu Naidu when he was previously in TDP, made comments in Naidu’s favor. He questioned Minister KTR for denying permissions for rallies against Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest in the skill development scam. He further stated that Andhra people who have settled in Hyderabad have the right to vote and are tax payers, so why is the government not allowing them to protest? He reminded KTR about how during the Telangana agitation, Telangana supporters in the USA held protests at the White House, and nobody objected even though it was an issue unrelated to the US. Therefore, he questioned why the TRS government is objecting to the protests of TDP supporters.

After Naidu’s arrest by the CID and his subsequent remand in Rajahmundry jail, some of the TDP supporters held protest rallies in Hyderabad. In response to these rallies, KTR stated that Telangana has no involvement in Andhra politics, and that it is a battle between the YSRCP and TDP, parties that do not exist in Telangana. He suggested that whoever wants to organize rallies in support of the TDP should do so in Rajahmundry or somewhere in Andhra. He recalled how during the Telangana agitation, the then chief ministers did not allow protests in the IT corridor in Hyderabad. Furthermore, he pointed out that many Andhra people live peacefully in Hyderabad, and bringing political clashes between them is unnecessary. He emphasized that maintaining law and order is their priority and, as a result, they will not allow rallies by TDP supporters. However, KTR’s comments drew opposition against BRS from TDP supporters, prompting him to express his solidarity with Naidu in response to Lokesh’s tweet concerning Naidu’s security in jail.

BRS plans to control damage…

During 2018 assembly elections Congress, TDP and CPI contested in alliance. Chandrababu Naidu participated in the election campaign on behalf of maha gatbandhan. Then BRS chief KCR successed to project again Congress party is brining andhra leaders dominance in the form of Chandrababu Naidu. KCR successed in to reach into massess, and in the elections BRS secured 88 seats, where congress wins 19 and tdp wins only two seats. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will not be contesting in the upcoming Telangana elections. As a result, it has become crucial to determine the group of Andhra settlers in Khammam and various constituencies in Hyderabad will vote for. If the TDP decides to support the Congress, it is possible that the votes of TDP supporters from the Andhra settlers may shift to that party.  Realizing this, BRS now seems to be playing a soft corner towards TDP. Recently KTR has been announced that Panama Chowrasta will be named after NTR. Now the political landscape in Telangana is undergoing an interesting turn, with speculations that the TDP may be secretly supporting the Congress, and BRS’s efforts to secure the votes of the settlers.
