BJP intensifies attack against KCR, KTR delivers befitting counter

Modi Vs. KCR

Telangana politics is becoming increasingly interesting as the elections approach. The BJP, which seemed to have been stagnant in recent months, is now raising its voice against the BRS government.Numerous predictions, analyses, and survey reports suggest that the main competition will be between the BRS and the Congress. Against this backdrop, the BJP is making its presence known by actively highlighting its priority in the race. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Telangana and openly criticized CM KCR with sensational comments. He also made promises to benefit Telangana. On October 10, another top BJP leader, Amit Shah, addressed a public meeting called ‘Jana Garjana’ in Adilabad and also strongly criticized KCR. In response to both instances, KTR, who holds a key position in the BRS, strongly criticized the BJP.

Amit Shah’s comments against KCR

Amit Shah criticized that the ruling BRS party in Telangana is controlled by the Majlis Party. He stated that as long as the Majlis party continues to steer the car, the state cannot progress in the right direction. Shah also mentioned that neither KCR nor the BRS party possesses any ideology. He claimed that KCR’s main objective is to protect his daughter, Kavitha, who is facing allegations in the Delhi Liquor case, and to pave the way for his son, KTR, to become the Chief Minister of Telangana. Besides these intentions, Shah argued that KCR lacks any significant agenda.

Shah’s Rajakar Jibe!

Shah further criticised the BRS government, stating that they have utterly failed to fulfil their promises to the people. He stated that under KCR’s regime, Telangana led in farmers’ suicides, unemployment, and violence against women. Additionally, he mentioned that KCR has not succeeded in implementing the guarantees of double bedroom houses and three acres of land for Dalits. He further emphasized that KCR, as Chief Minister, has not taken any substantial steps to improve the conditions of the poor in the state. Amit Shah urged the people not to vote for the BRS government, stating that it is influenced by the New Rajakar. He emphasized the need for a double-engine government in Telangana.

Amit Shah has accused BRS of spreading falsehoods regarding the Center’s efforts in Telangana. He mentioned that the delay in establishing a tribal university was caused by the state government’s delay in land allocation. Furthermore, he urged people to denounce the corrupt rule of the KCR family. Shah emphasized that a ‘Bangaru Telangana’ can only be achieved with the BJP. He highlighted the accomplishments of the Modi government, such as the revocation of Article 370 in Kashmir, the construction of the Ram Mandir, and the strong warning issued to Pakistan through surgical strikes. Additionally, Shah credited the BJP for appointing Draupadi Murmunu, an adivasi woman, as the President for the first time.

He also claimed that the BJP deserves recognition for providing 33 percent reservation for women in legislatures. Shah expressed confidence in the BJP’s victory in the upcoming Telangana assembly election, with the results to be announced on December.

KTR’s befitting counter

Minister KTR responded to the criticism and accusations levelled by Union Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah. KTR emphasised that BRS steering is in the hands of KCR only, and BJP steering is in the hands of Adani. He criticised the BJP, contending that they have done nothing substantial for Telangana except engage in religious and Owaisi-centred politics. In the previous election, the BJP lost its deposit in 108 seats, and this time, it seems destined to repeat this outcome in 110 seats, he added.

KTR Hits Out at Amit Shah on Dynasty Jibe

KTR dismissed Amit Shah’s criticism of KCR’s governance as a “family rule,” deeming it ridiculous. He further questioned how Amit Shah’s son, Jay Shah, lacking a background in cricket, managed to become the BCCI General Secretary. KTR argued that it is preposterous to label democratically elected individuals as ‘parivarvad.’

KTR stated that people are exhausted from BJP’s constant lies and deceit. He emphasized that regardless of the false propaganda spread by BJP against the BRS government, the people remain unconcerned. Amit Shah falsely claimed that Telangana leads in farmer suicides, contradicting previous reports from the Center which highlighted Telangana to have the lowest number of such incidents. KTR reminded everyone that during Amit Shah’s speech in the Adilabad Assembly 5 years ago, he had promised to reopen the closed Cement Corporation of India, a promise that remains unfulfilled till today.

He further questioned why the central government, over the past ten years, has not allocated a single educational institution to Telangana. KTR also inquired about the delay in establishing the tribal university despite the state government having provided the necessary land years ago. He proudly stated that Telangana has achieved remarkable progress in per capita income, gsdp, and human development indices, challenging the BJP-ruled states to showcase similar achievements.

KCR is likely to respond during the release of the manifesto

Only ministers KTR and Harish Rao responded to Modi’s comments and Amit Shah’s recent comments a week ago. The Telangana CM and BRS chief have confined themselves to Pragathi Bhavan as the CM has been suffering from an illness for the past few days. KCR will re-enter the public arena on the 15th of this month, presenting the election manifesto before the people. It is likely that KCR will strongly respond to the BJP’s criticism and accusations during the press meet held on that occasion and in subsequent public meetings. From October 15 to November 9, KCR will actively participate in campaign activities for a total of 17 days. He will address a total of 42 public meetings, with the schedule of the remaining meetings to be released later by the party sources.
