CM Jagan Extends Helping Hand: Financial Aid Provided to twelve Poor People

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has always been at the forefront of helping the poor. As CM, he has provided assistance to many impoverished individuals in the past. Recently, during the ‘Jagananna Chedodu’ program in Yemminganur of Kurnool district, several poor people appealed to CM Jagan for financial aid. In response to their pleas, CM Jagan promptly issued orders to Kurnool District Collector G. Srijana. Following the CM’s directives, Collector Srijana granted financial assistance to six poor people on Friday and six more on Saturday. The beneficiaries received the cheques at the collector’s office. The Collector has also assured that efforts are being made to offer improved medical assistance to those who are ill. Additionally, employment opportunities will be prioritized for them.

Ashok from Kamavaram

Ashok, a resident of Kamavaram village in Kowthalam mandal of Kurnool district, earns his livelihood through agriculture. He has been suffering from lung-related health issues for some time now. Recently, doctors advised him that surgery is necessary. However, due to financial constraints, he has been unable to afford proper medical treatment. Upon learning that Chief Minister Jagan was visiting Yemminganur for the ‘Jagananna Chedodu’ program in Kurnool district, he decided to attend and meet the Chief Minister. There, he explained his situation to CM Jagan and requested financial assistance. Understanding the urgency, the CM assured Ashok that immediate help would be provided. As a result, Ashok received a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh from the collector to help cover his medical expenses.

Kuravaraju from Kairavadi

Kuravaraju, a daily laborer from Kairavadi village in Yemminganur mandal, had a daughter named Vidya. In 2021, one day Kuravaraju went to work for his daily wage, but unfortunately, his daughter Vidya got injured in a fire accident. She had to be admitted to the hospital, and the medical expenses amounted to Rs. 2 lakhs. The debt accumulated from Vidya’s treatment became a burden for Kuravaraju. Upon hearing about CM Jagan’s visit to Yemminganur, Kuravaraju decided to go and share his hardship with him. When he met the CM, Kuravaraju explained his situation and requested financial assistance for his daughter’s treatment and support for his family. CM Jagan responded positively and instructed the collector to provide the necessary aid to Kuravaraju. As a result, Kuravaraju received a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh from the collector.

Sheik Reshma from Yemmiganur

Sheikh Reshma’s daughter, Sheikh Yasmin, from Yemmiganur, was diagnosed with brain cancer five years ago. Unfortunately, she lost her vision due to the disease. The significant medical expenses associated with Yasmin’s condition have become a heavy burden for Reshma’s family, who rely on wage work to make a living. Reshma approached CM Jagan in Yemmiganur and urged him for assistance in their difficult situation.

Bhaskar from Daivamdinne

B. Bhaskar from Daivamdinne village in Yemminganur mandal recently underwent surgery on his right leg. The total cost of the surgery amounted to Rs. 3 lakhs. Bhaskar met CM Jagan in Yemminganur and submitted an application to the Chief Minister, seeking disability pension or financial assistance.

Khajavali from Pedda Marriveedu

D. Khajavali, a resident of Pedda marriveedu village, Gonegandla mandal, has been suffering from kidney and urinary bladder problems for the past six years. He spends approximately Rs.10,000 every month on his treatment. He has appealed to CM Jagan in Yemminganur to provide him with a monthly pension and financial assistance.

Golla Lakshmanna from Mandagiri

Golla Lakshmanna, a resident of Mandagiri panchayat in Adoni mandal, has a daughter named Shravani who has been suffering from a mental illness since birth. Currently, Shravani receives a monthly social pension of Rs. 3 thousand. Golla Lakshmanna approached Chief Minister Jagan during his visit to Yemminganur, requesting an increase in the pension amount.

During the program held at Kurnool Collectorate office, the collector distributed cheques of Rs.1 lakh each to six individuals on friday and rest six people on Saturday, who had appealed for financial assistance from CM Jagan in Yemminganur. DRO Madhusudan Rao also attended the event. The recipients of the financial assistance expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister YS Jagan.
