The Telangana Congress has unveiled its 42-page manifesto booklet featuring 66 promises, in addition to the previously announced six guarantee schemes. The manifesto comprehensively addresses various sections of society, including farmers, youth, the unemployed, government employees, beedi workers, senior citizens, journalists, auto drivers, families of Telangana martyrs, Anganwadi teachers, and SC, BC, EBC, and Minority communities. Notably, the Congress has introduced a Job Calendar schedule within the manifesto, specifying recruitment timelines.
According to the calendar, Group-1 recruitments are slated for February 1, 2024, while Group-2 recruitment will occur in two phases— the first phase by April 4, 2024, and the second phase by December 15, 2024. Group-3 recruitments will also take place in two phases, with the first phase scheduled for June 1, 2024, and the second phase by December 1, 2024. The manifesto outlines a commitment to filling a total of 2 lakh vacant government positions through job notifications in the first year of Congress assuming power.

Congress ‘Six Guarantees’ Card
Earlier, the Congress party announced six guarantee schemes, Mahalkshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Gruha Jyothi, Indiramma Housing, Yuva Vikasam, and Cheyutha. In the latest manifesto, they have pledged a loan waiver of Rs. 2 lakh for farmers and a monthly pension of Rs. 25 for the parents or spouses of Telangana Martyrs. For the youth, the party had previously committed to providing a monthly stipend of Rs. 4000, revamping TSPSC, and conducting transparent recruitments akin to UPSC. In the most recent manifesto, they promise to implement a special industrial policy aimed at providing incentives to small and medium industries, thereby generating employment opportunities for the youth.
With the Congress heavily criticizing the BRS government, particularly concerning the Kaleshwaram project, the latest manifesto underscores the party’s commitment to initiating a judicial probe into the project once in power. Despite concerns about feasibility, the Congress has outlined an extensive list of welfare measures in their manifesto.
