Internet stands divided on Israel-Palestine Debate. Should we allow fake news to create more differences!

The Israel-Palestine conflict is a topic that has stirred impassioned debates and emotions around the world for decades. This ongoing conflict is deeply rooted in a complex web of historical, religious, political, and social factors. In recent developments after the Hamas attack, Israel has waged war on Gaza Strip. The death toll has risen to over 1000 from Israel and Gaza Strip losses are still to be counted. The support groups are working round the clock to help the needy. The Israel defence groups have started their crack down through “Swords of Iron”. Israeli Defense Minister orders siege on Gaza: “There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel. We are fighting human animals and we will act accordingly.

Sympathizers from both the groups are facing each other, chanting slogans in multiple cities.

Supporters of Israel argue that the country has a right to defend itself against rocket attacks launched by Hamas from Gaza. On the other side, many sympathize with the Palestinian cause, arguing that Palestinians have been subjected to decades of occupation and restrictions on their movement and rights. They assert that Palestinians deserve the right to self-determination and statehood.

Civilian Casualties and Humanitarian Concerns are just numbers now. The full scale war is eminent as many are calling this the end of the times of Biblical proportions. Root Causes and Long-Term Solutions, including issues related to borders, settlements, and the status of Jerusalem. They emphasize the need for negotiations and a two-state solution. Dialogue has to be the way forward but the wrong buttons have been pushed already.

should Fake News not be considered as War Crime!

Media Bias and Information Warfare is also a part of the problem. Many fake videos are being posted from both sympathizer groups and this makes social media another battleground. Accusations of media bias and misinformation is the same from both sides. Media coverage often lacks balance and objectivity, which can reinforce preexisting biases. Another big issue is Fake news using old videos and unconfirmed footage. In such a time, any video or post can trigger the support groups to take things to a socially unwanted situation involving physical harm, gang crime or even worse. In that case, should Fake News not be considered as War Crime!
