Telangana Elections: ‘KCR put family interests above that of Telangana’ says Nadda

JP Nadda KCR

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda during public meetings in Narayanpet and Chevella on Sunday, criticized Telangana CM and Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) chief K.Chandrashekar Rao and equated KCR’s 5G with gareebi, ghotala, ghuskhori, ghaplebazi and gundaraj, mentioning about  Kaleshwaram irrigation project, the Miyapur land scam, while on other hand compared PM Modi to the efficient 5G network.

He said that KCR has made Telangana backward in every aspect in the past 10 years, putting his family interests at the forefront, thereby crushing the aspirations of the people who agitated for a separate State for decades in the hope of a better future.

Corruption Charges:

“The BRS is a totally corrupt regime, run by demons to loot public wealth, snatching temple lands, minority appeasement, land scam in Miyapur and others. The cost of the Kaleshwaram irrigation project has been hiked for the sake of commissions and everyone has seen how the Medigadda barrage piers have already sunk. This government should be sent packing on November 30,” he urged people at a public meeting, held as part of the party’s ongoing election campaign.

“The BRS is grabbing the land of the poor, exploiting the Dharani portal. Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project is an ATM for them. The cost of the project increased to Rs 1.20 lakh crore from around Rs 38,000 crore,” he alleged.

In Miyapur, Nadda claimed a scam worth Rs 4,000 crore was carried out. The BRS took a kickback of Rs 1,000 crore in the Outer Ring Road, he added.

He further alleged, “1,100-acre land of Sitarampur temple was illegally grabbed. The CM’s son sold the land at a dirt-cheap price. 1300 acres of land was taken from the poor farmers, assuring that they would be entitled to compensation. However, compensation was pocketed as a commission by the leaders of the Telangana government”.

Slamming the KCR government he said, “Promises were made for the allocation of 3-bhk flats but that promise was not fulfilled (by KCR) and even the money sent under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was stopped from reaching the common people by KCR.”

JP Nadda alleged that the ruling party MLAs took a 30 percent commission in the Dalit Bandhu Scheme.

“Did the (BRS) MLAs take a 30 percent commission in the Dalit Bandhu scheme or not? Did KCR ask in the legislators’ meeting that you (MLAs) are taking a 30 percent cut or not? This 30 percent commission government should go on November 30, and a BJP government should be brought in, and we need to work towards that,” Says Nadda.

BJP for Development:

Wherever the BJP government is formed, there will be development, women will be respected, corruption will be demolished, employment opportunities will be provided to youth and farmers will be empowered, said Nadda.

He also highlighted how under the leadership of PM Modi, the nation has moved ahead on the path of development and how India became the 5th largest economy in the world. Nadda also claimed that if PM Modi wins in 2024 and the BJP government is formed, the country will be the third-largest economy by 2028.

K Ratanga Pandu Reddy, nominated by the BJP, will be contesting in the Narayanpet assembly constituency. His opponents in this electoral battle include Chittem Parnika Reddy from Congress and S Rajender Reddy from the BRS in Narayanpet.

Telangana is going to polls for 119 assembly seats on November 30 and the counting of votes, along with those of four other poll-bound states, has been scheduled for December 3.
