Telangana Elections: KCR Action Plan!

Telangana KCR

The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for assembly elections in five states. This has sparked a debate among political circles regarding the political landscape in these states. Political parties are currently focused on drafting manifestos, finalizing candidates, and strategizing to defeat their opponents. On the other hand, reports from various survey organizations on the prospects of the parties in their respective states are circulating. Politics in the southern state of Telangana, one of the states where elections will be held, is garnering attention. BRS is quietly confident in their prospects, claiming that the people are on their side and that they will achieve a hat-trick. Conversely, the Congress party is certain that the people will remove BRS from power and that they will come out victorious. Meanwhile, the BJP has declared their intention to make an impact in all five states, including Telangana.

KCR is back in action

Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is not participating in any programs due to illness for the last 15 days. As KCR was confined to Pragathi Bhavan, BJP circles expressed doubts about his health. The party leaders demanded to bring him before the people. Regardless of the political criticism, BRS top leadership KTR and Harish Rao did their job. They regularly participated in some public meeting or event and intensified the campaign.

With the release of the latest election schedule, Chief Minister KCR will also enter the arena. BRS Party has made an official statement to this effect. KCR will come before the people again with the announcement of the manifesto on October 15. The BRS Boss has already announced candidates for 115 seats and is in forefront in the election race.  BRS leaders are confident that the announcement of the manifesto will further dash the hopes of rival parties.

Since the announcement of the manifesto, KCR has been embarking on whirlwind tours across Telangana. On October 15, KCR will attend and address a public meeting in Husnabad, which holds significance as it was the starting point of his election campaign during the previous assembly elections. On October 16, he will take part in public meetings in Janagama and Bhuvanagiri, followed by Siddipet and Sirisilla on October 17, and Jadcharla and Medchal on October 18. The party will release the remaining schedule of KCR’s visits once these meetings have concluded.

KCR to file nominations on 9th

CM KCR is contesting in two assembly constituencies this time. He will be contesting in Kamareddy constituency along with Gajwel, the constituency he currently represents. KCR will file his nomination in both constituencies on the 9th of this month. Before filing his nomination, he plans to perform pooja at the Venkateswara Swamy temple in Konayapalli, Siddipet district, which holds sentimental value for him. The nomination filing will take place in the morning in Gajwel and in the afternoon in Kamareddy. Afterward, KCR will address a public meeting in Kamareddy.

State-political scenario

In rhetoric, political strategy, and predicting public opinion, KCR is brilliant. Even his opponents concede that there is no Telangana leader who can match him in these aspects. It is natural to expect some opposition towards BRS, considering they have been in power for ten years. However, the question remains whether this opposition will have a significant impact on the party’s chances of winning. BRS leaders are confident that the welfare and development schemes currently being implemented in the state will earn them favorable ratings from the people. Additionally, the new manifesto and KCR’s campaign are expected to contribute to BRS’s victory. In the previous election, there were occasions when KCR addressed five public meetings in a single day. BRS is planning to hold public meetings across the entire state in a similar manner this time as well.

The ruling BRS party in Telangana considers the Congress as its main rival. The current political climate in Telangana is centered around the BRS versus Congress competition. With the addition of leaders like Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Mainampally Hanmantha Rao, the Congress party has gained some momentum. The party is confident that the 6 guarantee schemes of the Congress will attract the people’s attention. Furthermore, the recent C Voter Survey suggests that Congress is slightly ahead of BRS in Telangana. However, BRS denies that all of this is election propaganda, quietly asserting that the people of Telangana are supportive of their party and this will be proven once again in the upcoming elections. On the other hand, the BJP has managed to generate political interest in Telangana by making promises like establishing a Yellow Board and Tribal University. The party argues that for the state to fully develop, it can only be achieved through the BJP’s efforts.

Another important point to note is that, recently, the BJP key party leader, Etala Rajender, attended the ‘Mudiraj Self-Esteem Meet‘ as the chief guest. During his speech, he highlighted the lack of political representation for the Mudiraj community, which happens to be one of the most populous communities in the state. He alleged that the BRS government has created several hurdles to prevent this meeting from happening. There is deep resentment within the Mudiraj community against BRS, as they were not given tickets to contest in the assembly elections. Some believe that the Mudiraj Self-Esteem public meeting was an indication of a warning to the BRS government. In Addition, with the presence of a strong leader like Etala Rajender from the Mudiraj community representing the BJP, there is speculation that the community’s votes could significantly turn towards the BJP.
