KCR said it was not an attack on MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy; he was considering the attack on himself.

A stabbing attack on BRS MP, Dubbak MLA candidate MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy has become a blame game between political parties in Telangana. The three main political parties, BRS, Congress, and BJP, have targeted each other over the incident. Soon after learning about the incident, CM KCR reacted aggressively and warned opposition parties especially Congress. KCR blamed the Congress party, stating that they do not have the capability to face BRS in elections and are resorting to such attacks. He further warned that if BRS dared to show its aggression, the consequences would be left to the opponents’ imagination.

As per doctors, the BRS MP is stable now. Post surgery patient was moved to Surgical Critical Care Unit where he is being monitored by multidisciplinary team comprising of Surgical Gastroenterologists, Intensivists and others. He is on broad spectrum antibiotics, IV fluids, pain medications and other supportive measures. Patient is conscious, verbalising and recuperating from the major surgery.

KCR’s warning to the Congress party

KCR said it was not an attack on MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy; he was considering the attack on himself. He warned opposition parties over a stab attack on MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy from Banswada and Narayankhed public meetings. KCR stated that in nine and a half years of BRS ruling in the state, no such violence incident happened. He condemned the physical attacks, questioning why opponents were attacking our candidates instead of approaching people and conducting public meetings like they do. KCR futher added, If we desire to carry out such attacks, its not a big thing, but there is no space for violence in a democracy. He expressed gratitude that Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, who was stabbed three inches deep in his stomach, is safe by the grace of God. Following the public meetings, CM KCR visited Yashoda hospital in Hyderabad to meet Prabhakar Reddy, who had undergone surgery after the assault. He expressed gratitude to Prabhakar Reddy’s gunman, who had prevented the accused from inflicting further harm.

BRS, BJP jointly conspired.. : Revanth Reddy

Reacting to the attack on Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Revanth Reddy alleged that the BRS and BJP are collaborating to prevent the Congress from winning in the upcoming elections. He claimed that both parties conspired to stage this attack in order to shift the blame onto the Congress party and gain sympathy in the elections. Revanth criticized this as a clear example of degrading politics by KCR. He stated that it is completely false to allege that the attacker belongs to the Congress, and instead, claimed that the attacker is a member of the BJP who joined the party in the presence of Dubbak MLA Raghunandan Rao. Revanth accused both parties of conspiring against the Congress, whom they fear is set to win the elections. He stressed that they are withholding important details regarding the attack and demanded an apology from KCR for wrongly blaming the Congress party for the attack on MP Prabhakar Reddy.

BJP blames both Congress and BRS

Telangana BJP President Kishan Reddy has strongly condemned the attack on MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, highlighting that the KCR government’s lack of faith in democracy has led to such incidents occurring in Telangana. Dubbak MLA Raghunandan Rao has distanced himself from the attack on MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, asserting that there are conspiracies to lay blame on the BJP for this incident. He mentioned that according to the social media profiles of the accused, he belongs to the Congress; despite this, false accusations have been made against him. Rao further mentioned that, according to some sources, the accused attacked MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy because he was not granted the Dalit Bandh scheme. He also questioned Siddipet CP’s decision to allow the Bandh in Dubbak, which was called by BRS, even though the modal code of conduct is currently in effect. He stated that he would approach the Election Commission of India regarding the ongoing events in the Dubbak constituency.
