Supreme Court adjourns hearing of Naidu’s petition: Update for 10.10.2023.

The Supreme Court on 10.10.2023 has adjourned the hearing of the quash petition filed by TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development case to Friday. Below are the key highlights of the today’s proceedings:

  • The hearing took place, with Senior Advocate Harish Salve continuing his arguments from the previous day, arguing that Section 17A is applicable to Chandrababu Naidu and that the FIR should be quashed.
  • Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi, representing the CID, began his arguments, contending that Section 17A is not meant to protect the corrupt but to support the honest.
  • Just before the lunch break, the judges announced that they would hear regular matters after lunch and adjourned the Chandrababu Naidu case to Friday.
  • Chandrababu Naidu’s Counsel Siddharth Luthra requested a Thursday hearing, while Rohatgi suggested Friday or Monday.
  • It’s noted that if the hearing continues on Friday post-lunch, the government counsel may not conclude their arguments, potentially leading to further delays.
  • Chandrababu Naidu also sought a Lunch Motion in the High Court for a bail hearing in the same case, but the court refused and asked him to come for a regular hearing.

Chandrababu naidu’s Legal challenges intensify

Thus  the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of Chandrababu Naidu’s quash petition in the skill development case to Friday, with arguments from both sides yet to conclude. The ACB Court and High Court have also dismissed the bail plea flied by Chandrababu Naidu. In the Inner Ring Road Scam and Fibernet Scam also, The High court has rejected an anticipatory bail. The troubles of TDP supremo seems to be mounting one on the other.
