‘Lets Metro for CBN’, TDP Supporters to stage a travel protest

Lets Metro for CBN

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporters have given a call for ‘Lets Metro for CBN’ in Hyderabad to protest against Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest in the Skill Development scam. The protest activity will start at Miyapur metro station at 10.30 AM and end at LB Nagar metro station at 11.30 AM on Saturday, October 14th. As per the posters released on social media, individuals who ever want to support Chandrababu Naidu can participate in this protest wearing black shirts. In between the Miyapur and LB Nagar stations, they can get into the metro at any station. They mentioned it would be a peaceful protest that would not cause any inconvenience to metro passengers.

TDP supporters frequent protests in Hyderabad

According to the reports, it is a plan by TDP supporters working in the IT sector in Hyderabad. As today is Saturday, a holiday for IT employees, they have planned this protest to be attended by a large number of people. A few days ago, some IT employees in Hitech City organized a protest in support of Chandrababu Naidu and condemned his arrest in the Skill Development Scam. Protests were also held in KPHB and Quthbullapur. However, when the IT employees organized protests in Hitech City and on the ORR, the police stopped them and stated that there was no permission for rallies in that area.

During a press conference, Telangana minister KTR was confronted with a question about not permitting a rally against CBN’s arrest. He explicitly stated that Telangana has nothing to do with Andhra Pradesh politics and if TDP supporters wish to protest, they should do so in Andhra. He also mentioned that even during the Telangana movement, rallies were not allowed in the IT region. KTR further emphasized that this is a political battle between two Andhra parties that have no presence in Telangana, thus there is no need to disrupt the peaceful environment in Hyderabad.

KTR stated that Nara Lokesh called and questioned him about why permissions were not given for TDP supporters’ rallies in Hyderabad. KTR said, in reply to Lokesh, “The Telangana government’s priority is law and order, and our government does not want others to bring their politics into the state.”

Netizens questioning TDP

Netizens are questioning the TDP-held protests in the neighbouring state of Telangana. They are reminding us that if the Vijayawada Metro had been completed by December 2018, as promised by Nara Lokesh, there would not have been a situation of protests in the metro trains of neighbouring states. They are reminding the TDP that then CM Chandrababu Naidu did not even submit the DPR to the Union Government for the Vishakaptnam metro rail project.

TDP Campaigns against CBN arrest

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is organizing frequent campaigns against the arrest of CBN. Previously, they organized the Motha Mogiddam and Kanthito Kranti campaigns. ‘Motha Mogiddam’ is observed on September 30th from 7 p.m. to 7.05 p.m. Participants beat utensils, ring bells, blow whistles, and make other kinds of noise for five minutes. ‘Kranthito Kanti’ was a campaign held on October 7th, where participants turned off lights and lit a candle in support of Chandrababu Naidu for five minutes from 7.00 pm to 7:05 pm. Continuing the momentum, IT employees in Hyderabad who support TDP have announced the ‘Let’s Metro for CBN’ protest.

Chandrababu lost weight?

Nara Lokesh alleged that there is an immediate threat to Chandrababu’s life in jail, and TDP leaders claimed that Naidu has lost five kilograms. In response, jail officials released a health bulletin stating that Naidu’s health is stable and there is no need to panic.

MP Vijayasai Reddy responded to the allegations of Chandrababu Naidu’s weight loss on Twitter, questioning how he lost weight despite receiving food from home. He also mentioned that in the past, many former chief ministers and ministers have been jailed, but none of them were made such allegations.
