A power packed Sports drama has dropped its teaser today. Rajinikanth makes a significant cameo appearance in the sports action drama, which stars Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal in the main roles. AR Rahman is the composer of the film’s soundtrack. In addition to Rajinikanth, former Indian cricket player Kapil Dev also makes a brief appearance in the sports drama “Lal Salaam,” which centers on test cricket.
The movie is a pan India project directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who is ready to return to directing feature films after a long break. Thalaivar Rajinikanth posted a video on X releasing the trailer and announcement of a Pongal release;

A Pongal release for Thalaivar fans
The film is scheduled to be released for Pongal 2024. The trailer delves into the sports drama and the issues that two athletes encounter due to cultural and geographical differences stemming from their religious beliefs, all without a lot of conversation. The trailer opens with Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth playing cricket, discussing how they are from different factions and how conflicts over religion and community violence affect their game. The teaser also has Rajinikanth in the role of Moideen Bhai, a local influential politician and his exciting combat scene is sure to excite fans.
The movie will be releasing in 4 major Indian languages, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. As the name of the film is taken from the famous Maoist slogan, “Lal Salaam” it is guaranteed to be a political thriller with some action packed references to real life incidents. Watch the teaser here
