The TDP National General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, concluded his Yuvagalam Padayatra at Polipalli in Vijayanagaram district on December 20th. To mark the culmination of the padayatra, the TDP-Janasena alliance organized a large public meeting. The event saw the presence of TDP National President Chandrababu Naidu, State President Atchannaidu, MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan, and Janasena PAC Chairman Nadendla Manohar.
Addressing the gathering from the Polipalli stage, TDP and Janasena leaders urged the people of Andhra Pradesh to support their alliance in the upcoming elections with the aim of defeating Jagan. They criticized Jagan’s governance, alleging that it had led to the complete deterioration of the state over the past five years.
Fight between Jagan’s arrogance and People self respect : Nara Lokesh
Nara Lokesh stated that visionary Chandrababu Naidu, powerful Pawan Anna, and Lion Balakrishna came together in one frame for this public meeting. He expressed that this public gathering marks not the end of Yuvagalam Padayatra but the beginning of a new era, referred to as “Navasakam.” Lokesh declared that the war has begun and vowed that it won’t cease until the doors of Tadepalli Palace, where Jagan resides, are broken down. He emphasized that undertaking a padayatra in a democracy implies a fight, but doing so under a tyrannical rule transforms it into a revolution. He coined the slogan ‘Yuvagalam, Managalam, Prajabalam.’
Lokesh informed the public that he initiated his padayatra from Kuppam, spanning 226 days, covering 97 constituencies, and traversing 3132 kilometers. He alleged that the YSRCP government attempted to halt Yuvagalam using police force. Still, he asserted his rights under the Ambedkar Constitution, displaying it to the authorities, and persevered with the padayatra. Lokesh added that he warned them, stating that if they obstruct the padayatra, it would turn into a dandayatra. Fear has no place in his blood, he asserted, placing his trust in the Ambedkar Constitution, while contrasting Jagan’s reliance on the Rajareddy Constitution.

Lokesh pointed out that on one side is the Yuvagalam Padayatra, alongside “Bhavishyathuku Guarantee Bus Yatra” and “Pawan Kalyan’s Varahi Yatra”, which unnerved Jagan. He claimed that the Jagan government unjustly arrested Naidu. He added that Naidu is a visionary, in contrast to Jagan being a prisoner. Lokesh criticised Jagan’s claim of a fight between the poor and capitalists, questioning how a man who allegedly embezzled Rs. 1 lakh crore of public funds could be considered poor.
Lokesh stated, it is a battle between Jagan’s arrogance and the people’s self-respect. He likened Jagan’s demeanor to that of Appula Apparao. Lokesh further attacked Jagan, recalling how he once pleaded with the people for a chance and now has burdened Andhra Pradesh with a debt of Rs. 12 lakh crore, resulting in an annual interest of Rs. 1 lakh crore. Lokesh concluded by asserting that Chandrababu Naidu is the visionary leader capable of creating assets and distributing welfare, and he called for Naidu’s return to serve the people. Additionally, Lokesh expressed the need for Pawan Kalyan in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing his role in fighting for the people.
He criticized the ‘Aadudam Andhra’ program initiated by the YSRCP government, stating that people are expressing their disapproval of such programs. He said, people alleging Jagan government is playing with their lives already, then ‘why aadudam andhra’. Lokesh mocked Jagan for purportedly planning to establish an IPL team called ‘Kodi Kathi Warriors,’ assigning humorous roles to various political figures. Lokesh highlighted the challenges faced by the people of Andhra Pradesh under Jagan’s leadership, including youth migrating for employment, farmers dealing with adulterated seeds, and women traveling long distances for drinking water.

Lokesh accused Jagan of neglecting Visakhapatnam, alleging that the Chief Minister did not pursue captive mines for the Visakha Steel Plant and that YSRCP leaders intended to grab thousands of acres of plant lands. He also claimed that Jagan failed to fulfill his promise of reopening closed sugar factories in the state.Lokesh pledged that the TDP, if elected, would prioritize the development of Visakhapatnam, providing special funds for its growth. He accused Jagan of scrapping 100 welfare schemes introduced by the previous government and claimed that under Jagan’s rule, there was an increase in farmer suicides, power holidays, crop holidays, and aqua holidays.Lokesh expressed gratitude to Pawan Kalyan for supporting him when his father, Naidu, was arrested. He recounted Pawan as the first person to contact him after the arrest, providing encouragement to move forward. Lokesh concluded his speech with the slogan, ‘Hello AP… Bye Bye YSRCP.’
TDP-JSP alliance will come to power in Andhra Pradesh : Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan has asserted that a TDP-JSP alliance will come to power in Andhra Pradesh. He remarked on the differences between Lokesh’s padayatra and Jagan’s, stating that Lokesh aimed to understand the struggles of the people. Expressing sadness over Naidu’s imprisonment, Pawan Kalyan alleged that Jagan’s actions were motivated by revenge for the Congress’s actions against him.

Recalling Janasena’s support for BJP and TDP in 2014, which led to the formation of the government, Pawan Kalyan mentioned the subsequent separation in the 2019 elections due to differences and communication gaps, resulting in YSRCP’s victory. He expressed confidence in the TDP-JSP alliance coming to power in the upcoming elections.
Pawan Kalyan claimed that Jagan planned to replace 80 MLAs but emphasised that the need is to change Jagan, not MLAs. Despite having no personal opposition to Jagan, Pawan criticised him for neglecting his sister and mother, questioning his ability to protect the state’s women. He highlighted the alleged disappearance of 30,000 girls during Jagan’s rule.
Referring to his earlier declaration in 2021 to avoid splitting the opposition vote, Pawan Kalyan explained that joining hands with TDP was necessary for the well-being of Andhra Pradesh’s future. He communicated the situation to BJP, over Janasena alliance with TDP. Pawan warned of potential future conflicts against YSRCP supporters and emphasized the importance of TDP and Janasena running elections together. Jagan Destroyed Andhra : Chandrababu Naidu
Chandrababu Naidu stated that, for the first time in the Telugu states, NTR did Chaitanya Yatra, and many followed it. He alleged that the Chief Minister, Jagan, created numerous obstacles to hinder Lokesh’s padayatra. Naidu claimed that the YSRCP government filed cases against volunteers who participated in Yuvagalam. Naidu asserted that he would make Jagan pay the price for his actions against the TDP. He described the Yuvagalam padayatra as a people’s movement and expressed that if the TDP were in power, the Bhogapuram airport would have been completed.

He accused YSRCP leaders of land grabbing in North Andhra over the last five years and appealed to the five crore public to consider their future and support the TDP and Janasena alliance. Naidu claimed that all companies in Visakhapatnam had left in the last five years, all irrigation projects were halted, and there was no development in North Andhra after Jagan’s rule. Land grabbing and settlements had increased under the YSRCP, he added. He emphasized that, throughout his political journey, he had never witnessed such anarchic politics. He lamented that Visakhapatnam, once a financial capital, had now become the “ganja capital.”
He criticized Jagan, alleging that he is engaged in destructive and revenge politics in the state. Naidu claimed that during Jagan’s rule, the state regressed 30 years. He stressed the need for collaboration to save Andhra Pradesh, citing Pawan Kalyan’s joining as a testament to that. Naidu accused Jagan of destroying Amaravati, completely demolishing Rishikonda hills, and shelving the Polavaram irrigation project, which would have been completed by 2020 if the TDP were in power. He further alleged that health, education, and all sectors in the state were severely impacted.
Naidu made promises under “Maha Shakti,” including Rs.1500 financial assistance for 18-year-old girls, Rs.15000 under “Thalliki Vandanam,” three free gas cylinders per year, and free bus transport for women. He promised that the TDP would provide 20 lakh jobs for unemployed youth once in power and a Rs.3000 stipend for unemployed youth. Naidu expressed concern about the increasing farmer suicides in the state and pledged to bring back “Rythu Rajyam” while providing Rs.20,000 financial assistance every year.
