CM Jagan’s Aerial Inspection: Assessing Cyclone Damage and Assuring Farmer Support

Chief Minister Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took a proactive step by conducting an aerial inspection of the areas between Balireddypalem-Gangannapalem and Swarnamukhi River, severely affected by the recent cyclone. The Chief Minister’s visit aimed to assess the damage caused and provide immediate relief to the affected farmers.

Assurance of Support for Every Affected Farmer

During his visit, CM YS Jagan expressed his commitment to support every farmer who has suffered crop loss due to the cyclone Michaung. The Chief Minister conveyed a message of reassurance, addressing the concerns of the victims directly.

CM Jagan announced that swift measures would be taken to ensure that compensation reaches the affected farmers within four to five days. The government is keen on expediting the relief process to alleviate the distress caused by the cyclone.

Direct Interaction with Victims and Farmers

In a demonstration of empathy, CM YS Jagan personally interacted with the victims and farmers affected by the cyclone. His direct engagement with the affected communities aimed to understand their challenges firsthand and offer immediate support.

Commencing his tour of the cyclone-affected areas, CM YS Jagan started in Tirupati, where he visited the Tirupati District Collector. The Chief Minister utilized a helicopter for an aerial view to assess the extent of the damage caused by the cyclone.

Seed Distribution Program with Subsidies

In response to the crop loss, CM Jagan assured farmers of a comprehensive program to provide seeds with an 80 percent subsidy. This initiative is designed to assist those who have planted crops or incurred losses due to the cyclone. The Chief Minister directed the Collectors to expedite the necessary procedures within four to five days.

Positive Outlook and Rapid Restoration Efforts

Emphasizing a positive outlook, CM YS Jagan highlighted that there is no standing crop in the affected districts, providing a sense of relief. He acknowledged the quick restoration of electricity and the efficiency of machinery in the cyclone-affected regions, ensuring that recovery efforts are progressing at double speed.

The Chief Minister’s visit signifies a proactive approach to address the aftermath of the cyclone, providing not only immediate relief but also a clear plan for recovery and support for the affected farmers.
